Amid general concerns about government transparency, legislators passed bills that will make it easier to understand how government is operating, report suspected abuse and follow the money trail. You may recall some of these concerns were part of my annual survey prior to the legislative session.

The tortilla tax was stupid and the rationale for health reasons was even dumber. The legislator who proposed that, while the state grappled with major issues is out of touch. Of course it had to be a
Democrat because they have been out of touch.
Even as a life long Democrat and supporter, it was not realistic, tied up time in the committees and readings. The November election is coming up and I'm sorry, the national and state Democrat parties need to get their act together. My God! Gary Johnson is running again.
