About two weeks ago, along with about 20 other legislators from around the county, I went to the White House to consult with HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and the Health Care staff about the states' role and positions on health care reform. A few days after my return, I did this short interview with Jim Williams of KUNM radio that I thought you might find interesting.

After watching sick around the world, I would have to say that I liked Great Britians healthcare because they never see a medical bill. Insurance is paid through their taxes. This seems like the easiest way to block out greedy insurance companies. I also really liked how there was no wait for an appoinment in Japan. I know I have called the doctors office before to make an appointment for my sick child and they schedule for next week. I like that you just walk into the doctor when your sick in Japan.
