PRC Commissioner Jason Marks a Hero: He is There, Alone, as Quest Seeks to Circumvent the PRC

Several bills promoted by Quest are moving through committees in the Senate which will raise rates for telephone customers. 

• SB 445, sponsored by Sen. Carlos Cisneros seeks to virtually deregulate telephone rates.

• SB 470, sponsored by Sen. Phil Griego, seeks to allow the company to charge a fee to customers for the cost of moving lines to accommodate roads and other developments, without the approval of the PRC.

Jason Marks has been there at all hours of the day and night to tell why this will hurt consumers.  He's getting no help from the new regime at the PRC (Public Regulation Commission), which has acquiesced to the bills.
